Queer and staying focused
The world is such a huge place. So many people. So many issues and so many lives to take care of. That's not your responsibility. That's gods issues. If you are queer and going through anything right now. Thank god for it. They You are becoming experienced with people and dealing with people. However, I want you to stay focused. People will distract you from your external and internal purpose. Focusing on heterosexual normatives, and seeking love is the worst route to take.If you take that route you will end up digging a hole that's hard to come out of. Studies show that sexuality and sex start to contribute toward a persons life starting at the early teen stage. The stage they are referencing is the stage where your hormones start ton kick in. They are talking about when you aren't even horny, yet you find yourself moist or hard for simply looking up. What studies don't tell you is, thats a great time for young queer and black Americans to build their focus and tunnel vision. Your body is adjusting and its better to go with the flow than fight the teen hormones, In the the mist of this, you start to actually dive into what you like and what you don't like. I know that being in school, people can have an affect on you. However, don't let that deter you away from becoming your most authentic and genuine self. Do not try to conform to what is happening around you. Be creative and do out of the box things. do the things they wouldn't have thought of. This is not an opportunity for you to see attention. This is an opportunity to inform and help our youth live. As adults, it can be hard to find the time to build tunnel vision due to us having responsibilities for others. We truly don't have the time to take care of our own personal lives. I have see where we as adults forget to simply go to the dentist or finish school, all because we are focused on the wrong things. As a queer black American, its best to mind your business and stay to your regardless. They built this country off of the queer black/ ethnic Americans, yet hold an agenda to keep us under. We are fit for more than their constructed boundaries. I always advice anyone who is trying to stay focused or building tunnel vision to observe and question everything around you. Questioning and observing your surroundings help you seek reality. Seeking reality leads you to the truth. This help you put everything you have been doing into prospective. Once you are able to see what things are, you are able to maneuver at a pace and space where you won't be condemned for. This allows you top be left alone and to build resiliance. In building resilience, their are specific attributes that come into play. Being more reserved and refining yourself. You don't have to speak on everything and you don't have to speak to everyone. Not everybody deserves that peace of you. Listening and recording everything some states is also a attribute of being reliant and reserved. Opening up your ears and journal will provide you a closer insight on who these people truly are. They will talk themselves into a bind. They will also flock to you to expose themselves. This will help you understand who you can talk to and who you need to watch out for. Don't allow others who are settled in what they see presently to mess up your present vision to reach your future goals. To all my Queer and Black readers, what do yo do to stay focused? Have you tried journaling or exercise to build yourself a small goal? Have you set small vision goals rather than large? Have you created a vision board so that you won't loose sight of your plot?
