Queer and Watching Porn

Watching porn is like having enough time to change your life. The moments one may spend watching porn, is the same time one could be working on themselves, finances, or their relationships. A lot of porn watchers tend to also have less interactions with the outside world. In the queer community, porn has become the staple of pleasure. Even when I'm performing acts of intercourse, a lot of queer men either cum fast or can't cum at all. There's nothing wrong with someone who is sensitive to sex, however when you are sexually active consistently, one should not be orgasming so quick or not at all! Has any other Queer individual experienced this? Or this false sex narratives that everyone is able to take 11 inches of dick!? Let me let you in on a little secret. Those porn stars who take the best dick or who eat the wildest pussy, are on heavy drugs. People may think, "Oh alcohol or weed"... no. These pornstars are on Tina aka meth and Chloe aka coke. They are using these as sedatives to relax their bodies when they have to perform. That's not healthy. So my fellow queer people have this unrealistic view of sexual encounters. They truly feel like they are going to be able to act as these pornstars who are not present in their own bodies! Queers do what makes you feel best and good. Also, the rough sex has to stop. Not everyone wants to be fucked like a whore in Reno. The body is sensitive and one must maintain it to continue to live a healthy balanced life. Unless, this is apart of your experience don't act on it. There are statistics that state that porn has a huge impact on the queer community. In 2017 , Minnesota State University, Mankato, stated that, "Gay male pornography constitutes a disproportionately large share of the pornography industry; it is estimated that 20-30% of pornography produced is gay male pornography, and this pornography creates 30-50% of the pornography industry’s revenue (Thomas, 2000)." Queer/gay porn has a huge impact on the industry, so in retrospect the pron industry is benefiting off of soliciting porn that is considered, " Cultivation theory." Cultivation Theory is the assumption that the images showed in media are perceived as accurate depictions of reality. Furthermore, this means that viewers believe that the bodies they are viewing in the porn depicts the actual bodies in reality. This is creating a false narrative for sexual encounters in reality. Most of the porn stars have been augmented for views and likes. The porn industry also uses the theory of Social comparison. the Social comparison theory states that, " individuals compare themselves to others to understand how their opinions and abilities measure up." So viewers of porn may compare and measure their extremities to those have have had surgery to me the standards of their porn performance. This can lead them to believe that they too need to have surgery or change their body to be suitable for sex. These theories are important. these Theories can help identify the true issues in ones own sexual life. The theories also help explain the disconnect in queer relationships when it comes to reality and porn. The porn industry has made a lot of money off of the queer community due to us being the largest investors. To all my queer readers, Do you watch porn? Why do you watch  porn? Do you feel like you watch to much porn?
