Queer/black American and creating your own space

For years we have been shunned and banned from going to places That are consumed with inindividuals who classify themselves as the majority race. Our ancestors and those before us, fought to have equal rights which I personally am so thankful for. However, I realised That fighting For that type of equality is outdatted. We as Queer or black americans, should not be begging to be apart of communities who don‘t affiliate with us. Also, the fake friendships and just being a Leech because their lives are miserable needs to stop. We don’t owe or have to present ourselves to these people in anyway. I do believe that they only allow equality for the benefit of themselves. They truly could care less aboyt queer or black peoples well being. It’s time for us as Queer / black americans to create our own spaces. Tony morrison, was a civil rights activist. Even when faced with racism and backlash Tony morrison always found a space where she could be free. Toni morrison found a lake behind her house that resonated with her. It allowed her true freedom of thought and speech. In her head she created a space where she is limitless and there are no bounds for her blackness. As a queer and black community, we should be creating our own spaces. We should come together and begin to plan out how to create our own cars, distribute medicine catered to black and Queer americans. We should start to create safe spaces for those who are going through issues and we should also be more thought provokong in helping our queer/black community with racism, descrimination and mental health. Creating these safe spaces will also save lives. Creating our owm businesses will

insure that our community is being taken care of. This isn‘t an easy project as it takes alot of us to do it, hpwever we have no excuse. The resources are Available. The only thing i think may be a conflict of interest is the class systems and lack of education for different micro demographics of the queer/black community. Those who have created this hardship for us, have used these to create tension and divide us. We must take action and realize that this is our time to truly develop a new life for ourselves. This is a time to not make excuses but to be excused from the bullshit. We must come together and guide people to higher education and expose them to different sceneries. introducing better education and exposing them to places, will help build a better relationship amongst our queer and black communities. To all my queer and black readers, how do you plan on building a community with those around you? How do you plan on being more affective in your community? Also, when will

you stop tryinb to fit in and create a space where you do fit?
